Policy Details

Role of the Tech Team

Our tech team will provide comprehensive guidance and support to your electrician and carpenter during the installation process. They will not perform the physical installation themselves but will ensure that your team is well-informed and equipped to handle the installation. The tech team will be available for:

  • Initial consultation and planning.
  • On-site or remote guidance during the installation process.
  • Answering any technical questions and troubleshooting issues.
  • Providing detailed installation instructions and documentation.

Role of the Electrician and Carpenter

The physical installation of the automation product must be carried out by a qualified electrician and carpenter. Their responsibilities include:

  • Electrician:
    • Responsible for all electrical connections.
    • Ensuring all electrical work meets local codes and standards.
  • Carpenter:
    • Responsible for any structural modifications.
    • Mounting of devices.
    • Ensuring all components are securely and aesthetically installed.

Both professionals must follow the guidelines and instructions provided by our tech team to ensure proper installation and functionality.

Note: If we provide a carpenter or an electrician, there will be an extra charge. Charges will vary based on the size and scale of the project. You may request a quote after consultation with the assigned sales executive.

Pre-Installation Requirements

Before beginning the installation, ensure that:

  • All necessary tools, materials, and equipment are available.
  • All installation manuals and documentation provided by our company are reviewed.
  • A site survey is conducted to identify any potential challenges or special requirements.

User Responsibilities

To ensure efficient service delivery, we request that you:

  • Ensure a “2.4 GHz” Wi-Fi network is available.
  • If the house is large, install a “Mesh Router” to ensure a wide range for device pairing.
  • Ensure that the electrician is available when our tech person is guiding them.
  • Provide our tech team with the electrical layout if available.
  • For lock installation, provide door thickness measurements.
  • Ensure that the carpenter is available at the time of installation when our tech person is guiding them.
  • Pay the carpenter’s fees if we provide one.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information about any issues.
  • Follow the instructions provided by our support agents.
  • Obtain necessary approvals before granting remote access to your system.
  • Maintain respectful and professional conduct during interactions with our support agents.

During Installation

  • Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage.
  • Adhere strictly to the guidelines and instructions provided by our tech team.
  • Keep the tech team informed of progress and any issues encountered during the installation.

Post-Installation

  • Conduct a thorough inspection to ensure that the installation meets all specified requirements.
  • Test the automation product to verify its functionality and performance.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to our tech team immediately.
  • Ensure that the installation site is clean and free of debris.

Support and Troubleshooting

  • Our tech team will remain available for a reasonable period post-installation to assist with any troubleshooting or operational issues.
  • Any further support required beyond this period will be subject to our standard support policies and may incur additional charges.

Compliance

Failure to adhere to this installation policy may result in voiding of the product warranty and may affect the performance and safety of the automation product. It is crucial that all parties involved understand and comply with this policy to ensure a successful installation.
